Tabitha Cambodia is a non-profit organization working to better the lives of Cambodian people by encouraging and enabling self-sufficiency. A cornerstone of Tabitha’s work is the Savings Program. Beyond the emphasis on savings, Tabitha runs an extensive cottage industry program that provides income to families throughout the country. Tabitha also raises funds to augment families’ contributions toward housebuilding, and the digging of water wells and village ponds. In recent years, Tabitha has initiated the construction of schools in areas where no classrooms are available to children.
Cambodia ranks among the world’s poorest countries, with 40% of the population living below the poverty line, and 35% lacking clean water. Annual income per capita averages $600, compared to almost $48,000 in the U.S.*
Tabitha USA is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization established to raise awareness and funds to support the work of Tabitha Cambodia. We are vigilant about keeping operating expenses to a minimum, and every dollar of program donations goes directly to Cambodia – nothing is taken for overhead.
